Good bottle, a miss on the cap. Bottle is nice. Lid leaks. Not so much a design problem as much as a material problem. The rubber seal is too stiff, you can’t tighten the nut enough to get it to seal. I over tightened so the plastic clamp between the nut and seal twisted around the stem, and then it wouldn’t leak. This would eventually strip the stem.Edit 12/14/17There is a ridge top (concave side, middle not outer edge) of the piece that clamps onto the rubber seal. I removed this with my dremel…
Great thermos, poor exterior finish I spent extra money to purchase the blue kanteen so that we could easily tell our thermoses apart. But the paint is chipping off after only a couple of weeks, even though my husband carries it in his insulated pack away from damaging articles.It is an excellent thermos as far as keeping drinks hot. Marking off only for the non-chip resistant exterior.
