Photometer directly measures seven pool & spa tests which includes Free Chlorine, Total Chlorine, Bromine, pH, Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness and Cyanuric Acid. The photometer is easy to use and includes 100 TesTabs tablet reagents per test factor packaged in blister-style foil. The user dispenses each tablet into a ColorQ test tube by pressing the tablet through the foil. This eliminates the need to manually tear open a foil packet and carefully dispense the tablet.

Easy to use and works well. Last season, I was having my pool water tested at a local pool company. Ever trip was costing me $$ and my pool was still green. This year I bought this kit and did my own testing. Worked beautifully. My pool stayed crystal clear all season and I used maybe a quarter of the chemicals I did the previous season.
Poor Company Support / Failure to Replace Defective Meter I purchased this meter as I needed pH measurements more accurate that the usual test strips. Initially I accepted all the readings from the machine without question. But then I noticed that the reading for calcium hardness (hardness) seemed to vary greatly. Our unsoftened water is about 250. Our softened water is about 10 to 20. At times I received hardness readings on un-softened water that made it seem like it was softened. The test strips said the hardness of my un-softened water was…
Water analysis readings are way off…. I bought this to replace my older LaMotte ColorQ system that uses liquid reagents which don’t have a very long shelf life and are expensive to replace. Prior to purchase, I called the LaMotte tech line to see if I could just use the test tabs with my current ColorQ meter instead of having to buy the whole thing. “No” was the answer…he said the two meters were calibrated differently and I needed to get the whole enchilada. I’ve used the ColorQ system for years with great results but…
