Great size and shape file but wears away quickly. Sharpener is of a decent grit, and is well shaped, but it seems to be wearing away very quickly. I did a decent bit of work on a cold steel shovel edge and the flat edge of the file already has a concave arch worn into the area I was filing with. I do not see where this would last a very long time with heavy use. I do like the shape as it is well thought out and the size is such that you can get good control of it while sharpening. Very Useful for Sharpening I bought this item to help me sharpen my lawn equipment instead of a file. Shovels, machetes, lawn mower blades, axes and the like. It didn’t disappoint. It’s a very coarse stone, so if you want a razor sharp edge on your stuff, you would need to get a separate finishing stone (obviously). Be careful if you do, because the sharper the edge, the easier it will chip if it isn’t made out of top-quality steel.It is also fairly long, about 10″, a little over 2″ wide at the middle, and…
