solid tool being a mattock style camping/survival tool is a plus. so many have just a back spike which has very little usage in the woods. it cuts green wood up to 2″ thick, and is put together very well. the mattock blade has a thick full weld, and is made out of thick stock. does not rattle when used. this one is definitely a keeper. make a good gift to those camping/survival friends you may have.
Not bad, but heavy The ax had everything in the handle it says it would. The ax is on the heavier side, but I guess that should be expected with all of the tools it carries in the handle. The knife is on the small side. If I needed an actual knife, the one in this ax is probably the last one I would use, but in the absence of another blade it is great to have. I am not sure this is the first tool I would grab in an emergency. The ax had everything it said it would, and was priced well, I was just a little…
Awesome tool. This tool is awesome, and it looks super cool. I gave it a good workout today, doing various landscaping chores. The hoe part worked great for digging up soil and chopping through small roots. I used the hatchet end to cut up some tree limbs to make them fit in the garbage cans. It should come in real handy on my next camping trip. There is a compass inside the handle, a pointed hammer head for breaking windows and other items, a knife with a saw blade, and it all fits inside the handle…
