The included rubber boots are ideal for a non-skid floor mount. This reel holds up to 200-feet of 5/8- garden hose and has 5-feet of leader hose. Simply pull out the hose for use, rewind when done. EXTREMELY POOR PAINT JOB Purchased 2 of these reels. 4 months after installation they are beginning to rust and it is only a meter of time before they become a mess. Especially disconcerting especially since this product is involved with water routinely. Wrote to the company and they have indicated that they don’t stand behind the product regards rusting. There are numerous quality finishing techniques available today – there is no excuse for poor finishes on any product.
Rusting at 2 months….Do not buy!!! I had high expectation for this product. It is very solid, strong construction, and will last many years. However, it is rusting like crazy. In the outer to large “wheels” that keep the hose inside there are small holes (see picture). Not sure why there are small holes here, but whatever the case is humidity gets inside there and rust out the inside of the wheel. So rust continually runs out. It took a few weeks for this to start. Well made, Poor design. , This seems to be a sturdy product, however the location for your hose to attachment to it is not good. You are suppose to attach the hose then run it over the guide wheel to get it between the guide wheels to roll it up. Not only is this a poor design but it can kink your hose.You can solved this problem by removing the hose fitting from the “T” and inserting a 3″ nipple and 2 – 90 degree elbows with a close nipple between.
