A colorful outdoor knife with Swedish FireSteel fire starter. The Light My Fire Swedish FireKnife is a collaboration between Light My Fire and Mora of Sweden. Mora has made top-notch knives for 120 years. But this is more than just an extremely sharp, flexible, and sturdy all-around knife: the handle contains a fire starter. Gut and clean a fish, split kindling, and light a campfire with one single handy tool. Swedish FireSteel firestarter works equally well when wet, performs at all altitudes, and produces a 3,000 degree C (5,400 degree F) spark. Solid (and affordable) two-in-one knife + firestarter solution for backpackers and campers I was looking for a basic knife to replace a heavy multi-tool I’d been using for backpacking knife and have been happy with this. In fact, this replaced my heavier knife and my emergency firestarter reducing my gear load by a number of ounces. Yay! I like the purpose.

It’s a knife *and* a fire starter?! I have a confession to make. My wife is a pyro that likes knives. When I saw this on Amazon as a Lightning Deal, I had to buy it for Christmas. At first, when she opened the package she was confused. “Is this *another* knife?! You just gave me a !” Thankfully, she didn’t stab me before I answered the question.
