Good price for package deal. I purchased this to fill a gap in my cook kits. I have had gas and alcohol stoves in the past but never a wood stove. The price was right and as an added bonus, I got another alcohol stove. The wood stove itself came packaged in its own carry bag and the alcohol stove came it its own bag as well. They even included a small piece of sand paper to make the hole for the alcohol stove fit easier. It only took a few short minutes of sanding for a nice clean fit. The wood stove holds together…
Nice little kit! I have used this to burn wood and the alcohol stove that came with it. I don’t use solid fuels like Esbit, so I don’t know about that. For wood and alcohol, I feel the products worked as expected.I can boil 2 cups of room temperature water in about 10 mins with alcohol. That is a full rolling boil. Almost but not quite. I did not realize when I purchased this that it came with the alcohol burner, that is worth the price of admission alone. The hinges work great and dont seem to be weakening after heating like the Vargo Hexagon did on me. Though the feed port for the wood is a bit too big but not awe full (Better than the Vargo not as good as the Emberlit) Also the top is just a bit too big for the GSI cup and thus the Stanley cup without using some kind of tent stakes or whatever for additonal support.
