Makita has delivered a more compact solution with the 12V max CXT Lithium-Ion cordless multi-tool Kit (model MT01R1). the MT01R1 combines performance and superior ergonomics in a more compact size, and is ideal for work in tight spaces. The MT01R1 has a variable speed control dial that enables the user to adjust the oscillations per minute (OPM) from 6,000 to 20,000. The 3.2 degree oscillation angle is engineered for faster cutting and more aggressive sanding. For added convenience, the built-in L.E.D. Light at the tip of the tool illuminates the work area, and the small barrel grip is designed for easy handling. The adapter will fit most competitor’s accessories.

Helped Me Repair Rotted Door Jam Without Replacing Whole Door & Jam Makita is the best. I needed to repair a dry rotted door jam without replacing the whole door & jam. This oscillating tool by Makita did the job. I bought a door jam piece and had wood workers shop cut replacement piece to my specifications. The Makita Oscillating Tool cut out the dry rot portion perfectly, which enabled me to glue in replacement piece. Could not have done this job without it.

Great multitool Great ergonomics, better than the 18v, and not too heavy with plenty of power to get the job done. Great sanding bottom of doors with 4 1/2″ orbital pad, no more need to whip out the ext cord for the corded sander, batteries lasted longer than expected during this job (2.0 ah). I would only deduct 1/2 star (if possible) for 2 things: the hex key for tool attachments and the battery position feels backwards. More multitools are now keyless and there’s simply no reason to hold back just to…

Best ergonomic hands down! What a great quality and useful tool! I have quite a few Makita 18V tools but the 12v CXT has the advantage in ergonomics most of the time. The quality of these tools has not left me down for my professional business. The biggest downside to the 12v CXT kits is they do not get packaged with the rapid chargers like the 18V LXT kits do, but they do come with 2 batteries. As a contractor the 12v rapid charger is absolutely needed or else you’ll be waiting around forever for your batteries to…
