junk this is my second sharpshooter, i also own the pocket sheath for my izula, and i must say this one is not as nice. i got this one for my ESEE-3mil with TKC compact handle scales. out of the box this sheath is very stiff and definitely needs conditioning and stretching. took a minute of struggling to even get the knife in the sheath, and some more effort to get the blade out, if you were concerned about a lack of retention, dont be. over time it should stretch out for a much faster draw, but…
After water forming and a bunch of oil I am very pleased. Waiting on the larger model to try on … Purchased for a Cima – 1, Esee 3 / Rat 3 clone. After water forming and a bunch of oil I am very pleased. Waiting on the larger model to try on my Esee Laser Strike. This is a nicely made (in the USA) sheath using good leather. Very happy.
For the price…..worth it!!! I read is several Amazon reviews that this sheath would fit CIMA knife that is similar in size to the Esee 3, AND IT DOES. It’s not perfect but very good especially considering the CIMA sheath is pretty lame. As described by another reviewer, I soaked (30 seconds) the top/open half of the sheath in warm water and then slowly but with reasonable umph, seated the CIMA knife into the sheath. I laid it on a dish towel, atop a baking sheet at 200*, in an electric oven for about 40 minutes. It came…
