Recommended. They are a nice shoe, I use them for hiking. Merrell shoes are a little roomier in the toe box as opposed to my Salomon which fit pretty snug, but I also wear heavier wool hiking socks, so the combination works well for me. I order D width on all my shoes. Not too crazy about the vinyl accents on the shoe, seems somewhat thin, not the heavier suede type material on the Moab Ventilators I owned.
