Bad design. Had these for less than 10 months with very little use when the upper came away from the sole of the shoe. The glue failed at the seam. I have had several pairs of Merrell shoes and never had a minutes trouble. Bad design.
Amazing shoe, fit, feel and performance. I purchased these shoes exactly one week from the date of my race, the Cateran Yomp, held in Scotland. 54 mile through the Highlands in 24 hours. I literally took the shoes out of the box, removed the packing paper and put them on. I didn’t even relace or retie the laces. Some useful info: I see too many reviews that say “They’re great” or “they fit perfectly!” How is that useful? So. I have a medium width foot, size 10.5. I have a high arch and a narrow heel. Chicken ankle. And my foot is slim from the floor to he top of my foot. This shoe feels like it was made for me. If you have a flat foot you’re going to hate it. If your foot is average thickness you’ll be fine. I found I had a little extra room in the toe box. But that’s what strings are for. The heel fit…
