Solid Hiking Boots It took about a full days worth of walking to break these puppies in. But once broken in, they are very comfortable. Good fit, good support and available in WIDE WIDTHS! I purchased these to replace my old “men’s” leather Wolverine hiking boots. We are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon and needed some light weight, comfortable hiking boots, however they will mostly be worn for hiking the woods in Northern WI where we live. Size was perfect. I generally wear an 8 I bought these boots for a recent winter trip to Iceland. Size was perfect. I generally wear an 8, this shoe for me ran really true to size. My feet are borderline wide, I purchased an 8 wide so that I would be sure to have enough room for multiple layers of thick wool socks – which ended up fitting perfectly!
