STILL TOO WIDE I gave this shoe 4-stars because it really is made well and it was fairly comfortable in spite of the fact that it as too wide. I have 2 other styles in the Moab collection and each is a different size. My normal size is 10B, but in these new mesh styles I find I have to take 1/2 size larger. That usually works, but with the Moab Mid WP Hiking boot, I had to take an 11B. I tried that with th Ventilator hiking shoe, and it was way too large, so I exchanged it for a 10.5B. The length is perfect,…
Really nice hiking shoes My comments about these very excellent shoes is that (1) the sole is way thicker than my old pair of Moab Ventilators, so I am having to learn to walk in them…they’re just a little awkward and seem to throw my back and legs out from the usual; and (2) I ordered half a size larger than my old pair, because bulky socks were too big for the old pair and then they would squeeze my foot too much. I think they’ll be fine with bulky socks and if not bulky enough, tightening the laces more than I…
Comfortable hiking shoe. Not so great design change on uppers. The good: These are comfortable hiking shoes and even tho they aren’t waterproof, they still kept my feet 90% dry while hiking in the rainy season (August) in Colorado. We had a VERY wet month this year. I did not need to use any kind of insoles, but did need to lace them up tightly before starting a big downhill hike. When the weather shifted and it started drying out, my feet did not overheat in these shoes.
