The pant provides the high level of abrasion resistance climbers’ require, and offers stretch performance for freedom of movement on the rock. Despite being lightweight, the MIER’s nylon shell has a sturdy and high quality feel. The fabric is excellent for temperature regulation: they’re tough enough to cut the wind and shed a light rain, but breathe when the thermometer starts to climb. This quick-dry pant also has one of the more customizable fit systems with an elasticized waistband, metal button and zip closure, and a removable belt. Fabric and fit I am very pleased with these hiking pants – the fabric has stretch and is a deep black color. The fit is comfortable and the pockets are a plus. I had been a little concerned about the size since I thought I might need an XL based on the chart. Since there was only the option of L or XXL, I chose the large and they fit great. I’m a size 12. The waist is high enough that there is NO muffintop!
Runs small and short Really like the material, and the style, but they run very small and short. I am 5’9″ and they came to the top of my ankles. I usually wear a 12 they didn’t fit, so I ordered a 14 and they did not fit. Returned both. I think they would be great hiking pants for a shorter, smaller person.
Excellent active wear Comfortable and sturdy. Wore these on a hiking trip in Arizona and they held up perfectly. Slid down rocks, climbed up rocks and went from 40 degrees to 68 in perfect comfort. I usually wear a size 10 and the medium fit perfectly. I plan to use them this spring for early yard work. Very happy with this purchase.
