WHAT IS ACACIA WOOD?
Acacia wood is a type of wood that is derived from the Acacia genus of trees and shrubs which are native to Australia but are also found in Asia, the Pacific Islands, Africa and parts of the Americas. Wood handles not dishwasher safe, but kinda dishwasher safe This set was a good value at $19. I would definitely not pay the full price of $50. The utensils do their job. They stir, scrape, flip just like you’d expect. I missed the “do not place in the dishwasher” line when I ordered, so of course I put them in the dishwasher. The wood changed color, but otherwise they’ve been fine after a few times through. I’m more worried about functionality than looks. It’s a nice variety of tools and overall I’m pleased with my purchase.
Handy kit, easy to use, safe on your wares I got these from the recommendation of a friend. I use them pretty much everyday to cook with, from the basic of things to the more elaborate cooking, and they are really easy to use. They don’t seem to lose their shape either, which is good. The only qualms I have about them is the silicon area can actually tend to release a bit from the wood handle, not a deal breaker, but I’d rather that not happen at all. Nice set but I wish they were put together better Pretty nice looking but wood handles are darker wood than shown, and the handles just aren’t made with good quality control. Some of the pieces are fine, but others have gaps or aren’t connected straight, and the wood is not finished properly. I will keep them cuz the color gray is so unique and it matches my kitchen so well, and they look nice in my utensil croc, tho I had to put paper in bottom cuz they’re kinda short.
