The bowls are made of plastic and metal coated with who knows what. These clearly are not stainless steel bowls. The flatware maybe SS which are quite flimsy. The bowls are quite thick witch leads me tobelieve they are not made of metal. How do I know? I have been a machinist for 38 years and work with all kinds of metal daily. I don’t recommend buying these.The only reason I gave two stars is because I like the case. I plan on trying to replace the bowls with something else.
Great kit to take on the road! I have been slowly piecing together several items to address my daughters food allergies/Celiac disease when we go on trips and/or camping. Prior to this, it seemed like I was taking half of my kitchen with me to ensure I had the proper equipment to prepare and serve her food safely. Disposable plates, utensils and cups were helpful but generated a lot of trash and waste. Convienent, good for light camping Really great kit. I took my son camping for the first time and this worked out well. We bought two plates and two cups separately to go along with this and had everything we needed for a Cub Scouts overnight campout.
