Not recommended for heavy-duty use I bought these poles to take on my hike up Mt St Helens. They worked fine on easy terrain but once I had to start putting any kind of weight on them they just collapsed. I spent quite a bit of time trying to get them adjusted “just so” hoping I could get them to work but they ended up being pretty much useless, they just wouldn’t lock in place. So they’re fine if you need to have something to put your hands on, just don’t rely on them to offer much support. Also, learn from my mistake:…

Incredible bang for your buck. I put these to the test and they held. I wasn’t sure I’d need poles before the trip. Well after the up and down of an 8 mile hike and 2700 feet elevation change I can confirm these poles are life savers. I was worries after going to REI that I’d have to drop 80 plus bucks for a pair but found these and thought I’d give them a shot. Two of my hiking buddies went with out poles. On two different hikes I gave them each one and they both exclaimed how much of a help they were, especially on the down hills that beat up your knees…

Five Stars Only used one. Used it on multiple occasions and they worked great. Awesome hiking poles for the price! Would happily buy again
