The MTech USA Xtreme Fixed Blade Tactical Knife (model MX-8059TN) features a two-tone half-serrated blade and a black/tan handle, with a 9-inch overall length. This tactical fixed blade boot knife features a two-tone, double half-serrated blade made of 440 stainless steel. Grade 440 stainless steel contains more carbon, giving it excellent hardness and edge retention. The G10 handle offers a superior grip in even the wettest of conditions, and it features a lanyard hole on the end that allows you to attach additional cordage — very useful in the field. This knife comes complete with a leather sheath for easy and safe carry. MTech USA Xtreme offers a variety of both tactical fixed blade and folding knives that are made with thicker and higher grade materials such as 440A and 440C stainless steel blades.

Great dagger. Very nice knife, came well-sharpened and doesn’t take much touch-up to make it shave. The serrated edge makes this more than just a thrusting dagger, though it’s use is still limited by the shape. Remember, this IS a dagger, not a camp knife, not a survival knife, not for whittling. If that is what you need, buy a different knife made specifically for that purpose. Remember the rule of 3’s: You need to be carrying several blades, anyway.

Needs improvement. It is a very good quality knife for the price. It came very sharp, fast, and in great condition. The reason I am giving it 3 stars is because I actually had the tip break off from a 3 foot drop onto carpet, and had to spend hours sharpening it to get a new point that was even somewhat sharp again. Another downside was that the screws that held it together came loose and fell off so now it can’t be used. Overall good knife but not made for daily use.

Absconsus says:

Not perfect but it’s good enough Upon opening inspection of the knife i saw that the black on the knife was faded on one side and as well as the blade isn’t all that sharp. It barely caught on skin when brushed horizontally across the edge. The Sheath also wasn’t centered properly, the blade rests a bit to close to the stitching and may be the reason as to why the blade pulls some of the inside fabric. All in all it’s not a bad purchase.
