Don’t expect too much. The hat is cute, but the brim is made with a Pelion like material and does not reshape once it has been folded. The “sweatband” is nothing more than a cloth tape and does not fold up inside the hat very well . I tried to use the side fold up and snap feature and it looked rediculous. The black band “sweatband” was completely visible. Slap it on your head, pull your ponytail thru and leave brim out flat, it does shield your face. That’s what I wanted. Don’t expect more. perfect hat for UV protection This hat is lightweight and breathable yet gives great coverage from the sun. It packs easily into a suitcase and then pops right back into shape.
