This plate + hot pocket = melted plastic I disliked this product because even tho these plates are stamped with a microwave safe insurance. There is fine print that says if heating foods with a high fat content, may damage the plate. Im a college student and I have roomates. One of my roomates used this plate to microwaa hot pocket. It melted a hole right through the plate. From the hot pocket box, cooking a hot pocket takes 2 minutes and 10 seconds in a microwave. I really do not like these plates. The plastic equivalent of paper plates These plastic plates are great for convenience, when you’re not serving guests or eating a serious gourmet meal. They’re meant for reheating food in the microwave, not for cooking per se. Too long in the microwave at high heat and it’s possible they could catch fire. (Happened to me previously, last batch. Good These work well enough – yes they are microwave and dishwasher safe, however we found if you reheated anything substantial on them (like lasagna) that requires more than a minute in the microwave, the plate becomes soft and not as sturdy as it should be. Not a huge deal, but don’t want others to be as surprised as I was when this first happened.
