Works Well for me with 2 way compression. As you can see, this stuff sack/compression bag compresses in 2 directions – both length and diameter. That is what makes it unique – since most available ones only compress in length. I got this for a full size pillow to take camping. The pillow is 20 x 28 x 7″ (size on the package) and after I stuffed it in this bag and cinched the cord it was about 7.75″ in diameter and 14.5″ long. Now the compression starts… Got it down to 6″ in diameter x 11″ long! Pretty small for a full sized…

Sturdy construction from initial inspection and testing. Will update in the future if I encounter any issues. Might get another one to compact clothes. Cool military look.
Know the size and what you plan to fit in it. This is a fantastic stuff sack. I travel light and was looking for a smaller stuff sack to hang off a day pack. This bag may fit a small ultralight sleeping bag but not traditional bag. This size is a medium and i am able to fit a USGI bivy sac and a poncho liner…no room for anything else. Seems well made…stitching could be a bit better but it holds up and is cheap enough to replace.
