It’s still like new. I can’t speak to what some other … I bought this backpack for my daughter who was starting kindergarten last fall. She absolutely loves this bag!It’s now March and the bag is still holding up really well and doesn’t even have stains on it. I think that the name holds true, that this bag is for preschool aged children- it’s smaller than most packs so that it fits their smaller frame. Well designed bag but questionable durability This is a well designed backpack with one problem so far: the mesh bottle holder on the side is merely ornamental and has broken after only three months of *very* light use (3 days per week). The mesh bottle holder on the side needs to be thicker and stronger. Not Built to Last I was thrilled with this backpack when I received it – cute, small enough for my then two-year old, comfortable, a compartment to keep snacks cool. It seemed perfect. My son has attended preschool at most two days a week for 5 months, and the bag is already falling apart. The seam at the top under the handle has ripped open. I was shocked considering the price. Shouldn’t a bag this small be designed to withstand the few items it has to carry? Forget about packing a lunch/snacks in the cooler…
