Good support for knees I am a very active hiker and usually go hiking 2x week for 3-5 hours each. Since one of my knees isn’t too happy about all the hiking, the poles are a really good investment. Especially going down they give a lot of support and prevent me from sliding a lot. Only thing is that my thumbs get a bit irritated.
They work like they are supposed to and I have found them quite helpful. They are what they are and do what they are meant to do. Because my husband and I seem to feel the rangers are challenging us when they tell us about long or difficult hikes we need a little hand sometimes. These work like they are made to work, as supports, not full on crutches. Neither of us are heavy so maybe that’s why they haven’t gotten jacked up, but using them for balancing across slippery rocks, to help with forward motion on flat and slight inclines with minimal to moderate pressure…
Good poles with some flaws I bought a pair of these trekking poles for a hiking trip to Lake Tahoe. The build quality is very good.
