It cuts through small brush with ease and even after hacking on some branches the edge is holding up well with only slight scuffs on the powder coating on the blade. The sheath is amazingly well made for a nylon sheath. I am very pleased with this knife.
Dull, but… At first I was a bit disappointed. It came very very dull out of the box. Like, I was applying a lot of pressure with my fingers running along the edge without so much as a scratch. Nothing I can’t fix.Almost immediately, due to the loose grip I had on it, I dropped it on my tile floor tip first. Surely doomed, I picked it up to assess the damage- but not so much as a scratch. So because of that I give it 5 stars.It is also very well balanced.
Indestructible I am extremely pleased with this product. For its intended purpose simply unbeatable at its price. I have used and abused mine on several trips and treks and thus far I haven’t been in the woods without it. I have a great appreciation for its curved cutting edge which is the acme of functional perfection. You would be hard pressed to beat it .
