The diameter is approximately 4 mm (5/32″) with a tensile strength of 550 lbs. 7 inner 2-ply twisted strands are surrounded by a 32 strand woven sheath that’s resistant to UV sunlight, abrasion, mildew, and rot. Rainbow Dye is great for creating bracelets, necklaces, lanyards, key fobs, key chains, dog collars, leashes, gun slings, and more. This is a 4 star due to the tangled mess I found when I opened the package. I had to spend and hour and have a second set of hands to untangle the mess before I could even start using the cord.

NOT COLOR SAFE COLOR WILL RUN I love the colors but they are NOT color safe. I washed my hands and got some water on my bracelet. Should have been no big deal, but when I went back to bed as I was ill, my bracelet bled onto my pillowcase, pillow, fitted sheet, mattress pad cover and to the mattress. The cord was barely wet! If I had wanted to replace all that got stained, it would have been the world’s most expensive paracord.
