Elastic that not Elastic Wanted this to work out so bad but it was nothing but a waste of time and money. It basically has no elasticity to it what so ever. It will stretch over time and loose any recoil memory. I had this product on 3 kayaks and ended up removing it from all three of them due to some form of failure. Main failure was just not holding tight as the cord lost its tension. the other was the product pulled out of the eyelets after about two weeks. I would also tribute this to loss of elasticity. MEASURE BEFORE YOU START YOUR PROJECT I WAS SHORTED 15.5 FEET. I PAID FOR 100 FEET AND RECEIVED 84.5 FEET AND CANNOT RETURN BECAUSE I AM HALF WAY THROUGH THE PROJECT. I CANNOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM “BUILT FOR SURVIVAL.” I WILL NOW HAVE TO PURCHASE ANOTHER 50 FEET TO PROPERLY FINISH MY PROJECT.
