Great for making “dummy” cords I purchased this cord to make “dummy cords” for the equipment I carry with me kayaking (radio, GPS, knife, etc). It is thin enough that it doesn’t add much bulk to my setup, but strong enough that I don’t have to worry about losing anything in a flip (which has happened and the cord helped keep everything together). My only complaint is I can never seem to unwind the 100ft hanks without it making a huge knot for me to untie. I wish it was packaged a little differently (maybe wrapped on…

Check your rope. Failed while sitting in original packaging in a go bag in optimal storage conditions!! Bought this and put it in my bug out bag which is kept in my house in optimal storage conditions. Went through the bag and found this cordage had self un-sheathed itself. It was still in the original sticky paper wrapping and never been used in any way. No liquids have been spilled on it and it’s not been around sharp stuff in any way. Good size to replace a shoelace I recently broke a shoelace and was disappointed with the replacement shoelaces available in shoe stores–too thin and wouldn’t stay knotted. After a little trial and error I discovered that this size cord (3/32″) is just right to replace a shoelace in an oxford-style shoe (for bootlaces you’d probably want a larger size). They’re more durable than the replacement laces from the shoe stores, they hold a knot well, and there are lots of color options.
