Pelican ProGear is proud to announce our bear resistant certification from the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee. The purpose of this certification is to help keep bears safe and significantly reduce bear-human encounters by ensuring that bears do not have access and become conditioned to anthropogenic foods and other bear attractants that increase these encounters. This certification involves intense impact and penetration testing by use of visual inspection, mechanical methods and captive Grizzly Bear testing over extended periods of time.

Beast of a Cooler Ice bought at a local store lasted six days in conditioned areas in the deep south US before it turned to cool water. I brought the cooler inside and opened it for a day beforehand so it would be room temperature. My food remained iced the few days that I needed but I wanted to see how long the ice would last. I bought this cooler after spending over $400 on dry ice in two 5-day non-Pelican coolers waiting on our freezer to be repaired. The ice was cheaper than losing the frozen elk meat…
Am so glad it was Bought a Yeti and it arrived damaged. Am so glad it was, as I did some research and found Pelican. We’ve used Pelican cases in the past for our Biz, so were aware of their quality. Didn’t expect to be so impressed with this cooler though. So much better than the Yeti. Simply, well made and with the built in wheels it’s the best.
I think even better.. Hands down comparable to a yeti… I think even better… best part is the wheels on it so one person can handle it.im a female and i can’t handle the 75 qt yeti myself and can’t load it for hunting without help.. I could with the pelican… it’s a bit bulkier than the 75qt yeti but is bear proof with no locks, we didn’t get a ticket when game and fish stopped at camp in Montana to check it out….. I have used yetis in the past to pack for hunting in Montana … usually the guys come home with…
