I am happy to say that this cooler is bomb-proof My use case for this was…different from most people’s. I brought this cooler as checked luggage with me on a trip to Japan so that I could bring Taco Bell freezes (stored inside pre-chilled thermoses) to a couple of people that missed them dearly. About the best you can buy. This doesn’t need some long-winded review. It’s a ridiculously well-built cooler. It is advertised as 24 hours for ice. I froze some water bottles and put NO ice in it on a 3 day kayak/camp trip. My beer and meats were still cool on the 3rd day. I would recommend covering the cooler with a fabric in a lighter color like a shirt or a towel. Black attracts heat. Great Cooler thus far for the weekend or day trip. I like my new Pelican soft cooler thus far. I felt I should leave a review because I saw the one negative review that discredited the performance of this cooler. Which I Dont believe holds great merit. I used this cooler on two separate days on this past weekend. One day were out on a boat in 90 degree heat.
