Light and Battle Worthy I like these “minimalist” bladders the best… very light, pretty much indestructible. The clip is junk and I just throw them away…all the bags have loops anyway. Some people complain about the “low” water flow on these but I disagree. I don’t need to feel like I am sipping from a straw, I get plenty of water per draw and I think too much flow allows me to waste water by drinking too much. Some people complain about the ease of cleaning these bags… but…

Great for a recovering patient We used this for my husband when he was moved from ICU and too weak to lift a cup. We simply hung it from his IV pole and laid the mouthpiece by his head. He was able to take a sip in the middle of the night without having to call for help. It was a huge relief to him.

If you have nighttime dry mouth due to Sjogrins/Chemo etc.. get the Platypus! I use the Platypus differently than most people probably. I have Sjogrins syndrome and do not produce saliva ( some people who have had chemo also have this problem ). For years I have had a glass of water at my bedside for frequent sips throughout the night. Waking up every 30 minutes or so to take a sip from a cup of water is difficult. When I came across the hands free Platypus hoser I decided to give it a try. I hung the bag from my bed post leaving the tube within reach during the night…
