Unlike older versions, these warp some after being used. Like other people have commented, these plates aren’t made as well as they used to be. I don’t know the reason, but they warp some in the microwave now. They’re still useable and convenient, but the warping is annoying.
Very dissapointed As some others have noted, these have gotten cheap. We bought 2 packages in August for use in a vacation home. They were used for maybe 5 weeks, and most of them have to be thrown away. I bought them based on earlier reviews, but I guess the manufacturer has changed the plastic. They may be microwavable still, but they slice with knife cuts, and they don’t wash well in the dishwasher. For our home we bought a different melamine plate, and they are much heftier per plate but unfortunately…
No longer a quality product. Plates warp in the dishwasher. I’m not a newbie to these plates as I’ve had a set of four for over 6 years and use them daily: at least two plates, microwave to dishwasher, EVERY DAY for 6+ years!!! After so much usage, they were still very functional but, for purely cosmetic reasons, I decided it was time to retire them. I was thrilled that I could buy the SAME plates from the SAME vendor. Upon arrival, the new and old plates were identical … except for the nicks from usage on the old plates. Like an idiot, I discarded…
