A good antenna Very good antenna that didn’t require any adjustments and installed quickly. It does what it’s supposed to do.
Looks great but not much range What a great antenna. I love the New Yorker. I have it on my 09 Land Rover LR3 and it blends right in. If range is what you are looking for then this is not for you but if you are looking for an antenna to blend in, eastly to install, with approximately 3 miles range, then it is for you. It is easy to mount with a strong magnetic base and with the small diameter wiring it makes it easy to run and hide it. It almost has a factory look. Quality Compact Antenna Quality unit. Magnetic mount is strong and will not dislodge during movement. The antenna folds down enough that I can secure my truck in the garage without removing it from the roof. The coax is thinner than what I am accustomed to, but made it easier to run it under and behind weatherstripping. I put a SWR meter inline and the unit required no tuning. Reception and transmit is very acceptable for a compact unit. I’ve purchased a second unit.
