Nice little gizmo. I goofed up installing my car stereo. The proprietary Honda antenna is very difficult to splice. As I already had a CB antenna I use, I figured I would attempt to use that antenna for both my CB and my car stereo.I’m pleased with the performance of this thing. Works better than expected. I previously had the Firestik version of this kind of thing… it seemed to work, I’d get radio and my CB would receive… but my SWR was UP TO 12:1… which could damage my radio…So I tested it without the splitter inline, and got a SWR reading of 1:1… dead on…So I figured the Firestik thing was bad… not saying they don’t have quality antennas (I have a dual antenna (co-phase) on my truck)…I installed the ProComm, and got a 1:1 SWR rating…
Fantastic Works fantastic. Not only was I able to eliminate the stock FM antenna on my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport, but FM reception seems to have improved. This is set up with a Firestik 2-foot tunable CB antenna and a Uniden Bearcat 980 SSB. My SWR meter shows about 1.75 on 1 and 40 and about 1.15 on 19. Without the ProComm, I was at 1.5/1.5/1. I’ll have to check it again out in an open field, away from the house…Overall, very pleased with the product. Highly recommend it. Tucked…
