Good replacement for the original The original plug from Igloo failed after 6 months but was replaced by them. That plug failed within a year and the replacement was not covered by warranty. The replacement plug from Igloo is more expensive. I ordered this one and it appears to be a better plug all around. The Igloo one jiggled out. This one fits better and I am happy with it. I do not know about durability since I have had it only one week but so far so good.
15 year old igloo working like new! Fixed our 15 year old igloo electric cooler! The power supply was getting really hot and then stopped working completely. I tried this new cord first before getting a new inverter and the new cord did the trick! I wish there was a marking on it for correct insertion because it doesnât have the blue dot like the original one, so I just put a small piece of masking tape on the side that faces up.
Great cord, polarity markings missing so test it so you don’t cook your cold foods by accident. Quality cord, works beautifully even on my older cooler. 5 stars except it was missing the red and blue dots for heat and cold polarity. I almost ruined a cooler full of cold foods on a road trip, but I caught the mistake in time. The wide side up = heat. The narrow side up = cold. Kind of backwards from what you’d expect, but now I know.
