Power input shakes loose when used in big trucks. even when mounted properly. I bought this thing in November. First the auxiliary battery stopped charging then the left edge of the screen stopped responding to touch only in “Truck GPS” mode”, finally the the charger stopped working on the main unit. While it worked, it worked great. However, I’ve barely had it three months and all I nhave now is a $500.00 paperweight. This is my fourth Rand McNally unit in the past year and they all die of the same issue. The power input is faulty.
Good GPS but you’d better hope you dont need help with it though. Excellent GPS. If you drive professionally this is definitely the unit you need. I manage 3 commercial vehicles and the drivers I bought these for absolutely love this GPS. Set up correctly for your commercial vehicle it will guide you around low bridges and specific routes for weight ratings. Great purchase!UpdateA year later it has problems connecting to the dock software. Rand McNally has horrible customer service, you can never get a hold of anyone.
Great buy no regrets love it OK everybody I bought the refurbished rang mnally 530 because it was cheaper and it had a 90 day warranty. How can I possibly go wrong? I made a wise choice this GPS is always on point they should of named the product sniper. Great buy no regrets love it. Being a truck driver it really takes a lot of stress away.lol.
