Nothing like heat or cold to ease pain… I had nasty lumbar surgery (nine hours worth) in early July 2018. Even heavy-duty narcotics like percosets did NOTHING for the bone pain over the first two weeks. (To have painkillers work, you need the stuff to flow to the affected area in the bloodstream. Ortho bone work has precious little blood flow, so no relief. Cold, however, works!!!!)I couldn’t sleep at all until I bought these freeze packs. These Thrive packs are well made at a good price and are the perfect size for application to … As a physician, I have used many versions cold packs over the years. These Thrive packs are well made at a good price and are the perfect size for application to wide range of “body parts.” I really appreciate the included cloth sack, which makes it safer to apply to skin. I plan to keep them at the ready for the next time I treat a sprain.
Great Cold Packs I have more of these reusable gel ice packs. They were a bit worn, so I wanted to replace them. These Gel Packs were a nice replacement. I believe they are a sturdier model. These bags seem to be made out of better vinyl/plastic cover. The price was not too bad either. I would suggest these to friends.
