Solid Quality Great looking compass, and Simple to install. Easy to read even with old eyesð This was a replacement for an older compass that leaked.
Install and functionality – Excellent ! Excellent ! I was replacing a Saturn bulkhead compass that is now obsolete. My existing hole cut was 4″ and to install the Venture, I used a 4 1/2″ drum cutter. The hole cut came out fine and the Venture fit into it perfectly. They provide a full size compass template to drill the 4 holes for installing the Venture with non-metallic (plastic) studs and the final install went well with no issues. Almost like Jewelry Purchased this for a birthday present for his 22′ Pathfinder CC….Needless to say, I had no idea how large this piece was. Used a 4″ hole saw to set this on his console and it fits perfectly, other than being rather large. It is certainly the prettiest compass I have ever seen. It lights up blue at night and matches his LED’s nicely. Would purchase again but maybe for a sailboat. He loves it and is ecstatic to have this on board his boat.
