Presentation is 50% . . .
. . . and we have you covered here. Imagine a tastefully arranged spaghetti carbonara one one of these cobalt-blue plates, or a salmon steak on leafy greens. The smooth and lightly speckled texture of the plate adds another dimension to your meal, bringing out the earthiness and is especially complementing to natural looking foods. Even microwave a day old pizza slice on this roro plate, and it will still look better!

Hand-thrown – simple, yet elegant
This plate is hand-crafted form kaolin clay unearthed from Thailand’s famous deposits in Lampang Province. This stoneware has been twice-fired in our kilns. After the first firing, our artisans carefully hand-apply the beautiful glaze that add so much character to these plates. It is without a doubt, a piece of functional art that you will cherish for years to come.

Good plates for special presentations. Heavy, rustic, and impressive plates. Decent finish and adequate size for meals at home. Kind of a strange everyday plate, but that isn’t what I bought them for so. I used these plates for a 72hr short rib dish for a 10 course tasting dinner. They were the right size and right look and a couple guests even remarked at the unique stoneware piece. The surface is quite uneven, which I liked, but I can see how that would turn some people off.

Beautiful plates These plates are beautiful, weighted, and unique. They have slightly different patterns and shapes but that adds to the charm. I like that the plate sits flat on the table without an oversized rim, giving more surface area to fill the plate.

Textured, tactile, holds heat, somewhat exotic — all these features are more appealing to me than the usual bland crockery. If it’s time to get new plates and you’d like to try something different, these RoRo ceramic hand-thrown stoneware dinner plates are an alternative whose qualities either will or will not be consistent with your notions about how best to present food.In my kitchen, hot food is never served on a cold plate. I often heat my plates in the microwave, and other exotic plates I’ve used in the past don’t like this. After a while they get brittle and crack. Not so with these RoRo plates…
