Skip these, there are lot better ones out there. I heat my home with wood and start fires nearly everyday. These fire starters are hard to start and hard to keep burning. I have had excellent starters before but these are nearly worthless. They are becoming harder to start and we have only had these for a couple of months. I ordered these about a year ago and that box was excellent, they must have changed their formula.

Not as good as they used to be We have used this product for a few years and they were always great! They caught fire fast and helped start our wood burning stove fast. We just received a new box and they seem different. They are drier, don’t light well, have a chemical smell, and they look and break apart differently than the ones we have used in the past. I am not sure if they changed how they are made (which was a big mistake) or if we got a bad box.
