Great all around boot I love these boots. I tried them on at REI, along with several other boots and these by far were the best fit for my feet(REI didn’t carry the size/color I needed so I bought them here). These boots feel really good on the trail. The angle of the bottom gently rocks you forward as you walk making each step feel easier, and the sole is thick enough that I don’t feel any jaggedness of the trail while still being able to feel the trail to balance well. These boots are great in rough terrain. I’ve had the opportunity to get these boots out a few times and really love them. They’re light but sturdy and the grip is amazing. I’ve had them out four times in the mountains in southern Arizona while scouting for deer. Lots of trails and from there I’ve gone up, around, and over steep ridges with rock and loose gravel. Thru Hiked the Appalachian Trail with this boot I began my thru hike of the AT in Feb with the original version of this boot. It lasted me over 1,000 miles until PA where the rocks kind of tore it up a bit. The boot was still good to go but I had a pair of unused Merrell’s waiting at home so I decided to get those sent out.
