These shoes have been great since I pulled them out of the box These shoes have been great since I pulled them out of the box. I have about 25 miles on them now, but they still look brand new. I will be testing out the waterproofing this weekend and hopefully they will hold up.
Super Comfortable and Nice and Warm This is my second pair of Salomons and I love these more than the ones Iâve worn for two years. These have been my daily shoes for a few weeks now and my feet have stayed warm and dry. Three snowstorms, a few hikes in the snow in negative temperatures, snowblowing, sledding etc. My feet never got cold or wet. The only time I had a slight issue was when I wore thick cotton socks- it was the socks that made my feet sweat. Even then, my feet were still warm.
Thru Hiked the Appalachian Trail with this boot I began my thru hike of the AT in Feb with the original version of this boot. It lasted me over 1,000 miles until PA where the rocks kind of tore it up a bit. The boot was still good to go but I had a pair of unused Merrell’s waiting at home so I decided to get those sent out. With about 500 miles left in the trip, I saw Salomon released the Quest 2.
