A complete let down. Toe guard is coming away from boot. Sides of the tongue are unravelling. Really disappointing as I’ve never had a pair of Salomons give up the ghost like this after only a few months. Apparently it is now past the return date so buying boots from Amazon means no guarantees in the long term. i wont be buying boots from Amazon again.** Amazon are now sending a replacement pair at no cost to myself. I can’t fault them in this regard.

Comfortable, Good Support, Good Looking I choose these boots based on a review I read on I usually wear a size 8-1/2 or 9 shoe/boot. I followed a Salomon’s sizing guide I found elsewhere, measured my foot at the end of the day (27 centimeters), and ordered the size 8.0. It was too small as my toes were touching the front of the boot. I returned them and bought size 8.5. Same problem. I returned them and bought size 9.0. THAT worked. Thru Hiked the Appalachian Trail with this boot I began my thru hike of the AT in Feb with the original version of this boot. It lasted me over 1,000 miles until PA where the rocks kind of tore it up a bit. The boot was still good to go but I had a pair of unused Merrell’s waiting at home so I decided to get those sent out.
