Excellent Boots I am a utility worker in the central coast, I was looking for a pair of boots that where comfortable and offered protection, these boots are it!So far I’ve worn these for 47 days, 6 miles per day, for a total of 282 miles and have not had a complaint. They are extremely comfortable and they stay dry. We had a couple of rainy days and I did not get my socks wet. Normally I would change socks during the day but not with these boots, I highly recommend them.
Great fitting and comfortable boot. Does not need after market insole. Great arch support. My last pair of Salomon Hikers were purchased about 12 years and 100’s of miles ago. I was out last Sunday and thought how damn comfortable these boots are. On the way home I felt like the car mat was loose but it was my heel flapping in the wind. Oh heck I’ll just resole these. I would have been 80 bucks so I went for new hikers. I own a pair of Merrill “hiking shoes” that are real similar but lower. They are my every day shoe. First impressions only compared with 3 other boots.. First impressions compared with Salomon X Ultra Mid 2 GTX, Salomon XA PRO 3D GTX Forces, and Salewa Men’s MS Firetail EVO Mid GTX. I can’t give 5 stars because I’d need to wear them for at least a week or 2 to honestly say.. I gave 4 stars because they all appear to be quality, somewhat high tech and smartly made.
