LOVE I know it goes against recommended advice, but I took these straight out of the box and wore them on a 20 mile hike up Half Dome and back. AMAZING. Yes, my feet hurt at one point, but I put on a new pair of socks and felt like a million bucks. I did not go up half a size as some recommend. The half size up felt too big and loopy, even with thick socks. Highly recommend.
I’m so impressed by these shoes. I’ve gone through a couple of different types looking for the right shoe. I have a new found love for the outdoors and hitting the trails. I’m also not graceful one bit, overweight and suffer from all the things that come with that. These shoes fit perfect with extra room in the toe. The grips on the bottom had me moving faster through rocky and even muddy terrain. My clumsy ass even jumped from muddy bank to muddy bank. GREAT TRACTION FOR WOODS RUNNING! My Salomen’s were delivered to my office today, and I have to admit when I opened the box my first reaction was “Oh my God, I hate them.” I ordered the color Poseiden, They look like a navy blue with lighter trim on my monitor. The color was actually a dark teal with a rather bright aqua trim. I’m more of an earth tone girl, but this color was deeply discounted, and I’m rather practical, so saving over $30 was appealing.
