Item has the correct fitting to install in my 5yr. old Samsung I bought this filter after discovering that my previous purchase (with the exact same product number) did not fit my refrigerator. I read many reviews wherein people were saying that Samsung changed the product, which made me a bit panicky. Fortunately, the item was pictured without its cap and I was able to ascertain that it should fit.
