Axesaw Small but do job easy to carry
Perfect balanced little axe/saw combo! This is my first camping hatchet and I’m no expert but weight-lenght balance feels just right for me. Handle seems sturdy taking into account there’s a slot for the saw -it is not enterily hollow-. Mine came razor sharp out of the box.
Will get the job done…with a fair bit of labor I have only used this twice, but it was useful both times – once to lop off twigs, and the other time on the hammer side to pound out a jammed hitch pin. I only did a small saw test in the yard – would do OK in a pinch. It’s a good multi-use tool…but I got greedy and went for this one with the embedded saw. The quality is good, with everything solid, but because it accommodates the saw, it has to sacrifice comfort in the hand. I would have done better to just get a Schrade without the…
