Great design, very sturdy. Bought for my wife’s gardening work to replace the Army Surplus compact shovel of hers I broke. Much more sturdy than the aluminum “surplus” shovel, albeit much heavier. Very nice design, especially the pounding surface feature and the 90 degree position feature for slamming into stubborn soils and roots.

It Is Okay For What I Bought It For It is okay for what I bought them for and that is to keep in my Jeep for emergency use. I recently bought two of them and both have sideways play in the telescoping handle. It should not hamper the function, but it is a little irritating to me. The shovels do fold down to a nice compact size and the blade can be tightened to eliminate play with some effort. The cover seems to be well made and should do its job in preventing the sharpened blade from damaging anything that it comes in contact…

The little shovel that can! My first impressions of this little shovel are its well made. Lightweight. Easy to carry. If I were going to design any differently it would be the cover. Your not going to carry this on your belt. It needs to be Molle compatible. Love the sharpened edges of the blade. Its easy to move the handle and fold. Word of advice. This isn’t going to be a stand and shovel tool. Your going to be on your hands and knees using it. But for camping, survival, self defense, or an emergency car shovel. You…
