The SE Liquid Filled Ball Compass Keychains (48-Pack) are ball-shaped compasses that function at any angle. You can conveniently attach the keychain to your backpack, bag, belt, purse, or anywhere else. There are also 24 dash markings, which are easy to read and indicate the directions. The liquid filled ball moves automatically to show you the direction. They are black and have green and white letters to indicate the directions. The keychains are 1” long and the keyrings have a 1” diameter.

The direction markings include:
N: North
NE: Northeast
E: East
SE: Southeast
S: South
SW: Southwest
W: West
NW: Northwest

To ensure an accurate reading and best results:

Keep the compass away from ALL metal objects and electromagnetic interference. Not doing so can result in false readings by deflecting the magnetic needle. Objects and items to avoid include wristwatches, rings and other jewelry, keys, metal tools and knives, metal buttons and zippers, mobile telephones, power lines and cell phone towers, vehicles, and even heavy framed eye-glasses. Many geological formations and rocks, can be magnetized and will affect compass readings, as can the static electricity on your clothing and person. Also, keep in mind a magnetic compass will align its needle with the Earth’s local magnetic field, which in most cases, is not the same as true north. One of the most important skills when using a magnetic compass is the ability to correct for this difference, known as declination. The amount of declination varies by your location. You will need to adjust your compass reading to correct for declination.
