Nice mat. Especially good in a hammock. This sleep mat turned out to be a surprise to me. I was not thinking that it would work well in a hammock but figured it was good for tent sleeping. Fortunately, I was wrong. I actually like its use for my hammock more than I would for tent sleeping. It fit the hammock perfectly and the pillow was very useful and did not get away from me as it usually does with a regular blow up pillow. In the tent the pillow is a bit lacking. But that may just be me as I prefer a pillow that I can move around…

beware: pillow is useless but is part of the length The pad itself seems well constructed and decently thick. The pillow is uncomfortable at any level of inflation, and be warned that it is counted in the length, so the best way to use the pad is probably to inflate the pillow slightly and then turn it around so it is at your feet rather than your head. Would have been better to leave off the pillow or add extra pad instead.

The little mat that could… My little brother is a huge outdoorsman, so much that he prefers sleeping on the cold, hard ground to a soft and squishy bed. (I will never understand.) After a recent visit he was talking about wanting a little mattress to put in the back of his truck bed for an upcoming overnight excursion. Obviously, he’s getting “soft” in his years, but I thought I’d look into something for him. The criteria for me was simple: find something lightweight, small enough to keep in his truck, and simple enough…
