It’s a hardy piece. I like the design a lot. It’s light weight & the plastic is kind of a rubberized casing. Silva hasn’t let me down yet. I don’t know why but I keep buying compasses. From my experience, the product reflects the price but regarding this compass, it seems like a very fare deal.
Not Bad! This product is a little bit lower quality than it APPEARS in the photograph, but is exactly as described. The compass is a plastic frame device, with a thin cord. It does not have a hinge, but the connection between the bottom and the lid is simply a flexible piece of plastic. However, it is a precise and accurate compass that will certainly satisfy almost anyone’s basic survival or camping needs. I purchased this compass to put in my Bug Out Bag.
